LINDA BURMAN

As president, principal engineer, and founder of Burman Design, Linda manages the office with passion and purpose. With years of experience across many market sectors including restaurants, multifamily, schools and offices, Linda leads the design team, and enjoys sharing her knowledge with younger engineers and others looking for opportunities to get started in their careers. She also handles day to day business operations and development with support from the administrative team. Outside of the office, Linda acts as the West Coast Representative for the Women of ASPE and mentors students in the ACE program. She enjoys golfing, gardening, home improvement, and time spent outside hiking or walking the waterfront.

Terry Potvin

Terry personifies commitment and collaboration as a project leader and technical consultant. His broad experience base encompasses a range of service offerings and mechanical systems to aid academic clients with new construction, renovations, upgrades, remodels and modernization projects. Terry’s thorough design solutions blend with his innovative engineering options and partnering consultant approach to provide coordinated services and constructible solutions.

With over 40 years of experience, Terry has taken on project lead across a wide array of projects including Commercial, Education, Civic, Governmental, Medical Clinics, Multi-family, Churches, Prisons and MixedUse Projects. Project responsibilities include design of plumbing and HVAC systems, utility coordination and construction administration.

As a project manager, Terry advances client objectives by utilizing his extensive experience and coordination skills with diverse teams. His working knowledge of design and deliverable methodologies for various mechanical systems spans design development through construction administration and close-out. Through system selection, development and maintenance of project-specific specifications and details, adherence to codes, regulations and client standards, maintenance of budgets and schedules, and delivery of quality endproducts, Terry fulfils project needs and owner goals.

ALI ALHADDAD

Since graduating in 2019 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ali has worked with Burman Design in designing mechanical systems across many market sectors including restaurants, churches, medical offices, and swimming pools. Ali is creative and a problem solver, making him a great addition to the team. He has learned all about CONTAM analysis, a program the simulates smoke control requirements in stair towers and elevator shafts. He is a big sports fan, spending his time outside the office playing volleyball or tennis, and watching basketball. Go Lakers!

Mechanical Engineer

TREVOR WATKINS

Since earning his degree in 2017, Trevor has worked on a wide array of projects with Burman Design including single and multifamily residential, restaurants, heated self-storage, swimming pools, churches, grocery, government, recreational facilities, office spaces, K-12 and higher education schools, new constructions, tenant improvements, and remodels. Along with mechanical design, Trevor’s project responsibilities include REVIT and CAD design and management, IT management, and utility coordination. Trevor manages the cloud-based network at Burman Design and leads the team for setup across a variety of applications to aid in communication and production. Because of Trevor’s insight and forward-thinking mindset, Burman was easily able to go from in office work environment to remote work during the Covid pandemic. He coordinated the team’s usage of our cloud-based system and navigate online communication and data management tools.
